Netflix & Amazon Drama Overload! March 2023

The Crown and LBP

This month saw multiple units working around the clock to complete aerial cinematography on two epic drama series, while continuing to assist Netflix with their drone requirements.

John and his Heavy-lift drone team travelled to the Canary Islands, flying the Mini LF and signature primes under the Freefly Alta X drone for the second series of a Prime Drama series. The crew spent 3 weeks travelling to some truly spectacular locations and we cannot wait to see the final footage. Meanwhile we had additional drone units flying Heavy lift aircraft with the Action units on LBP, back on set in the UK!

Burghley House and a secret Scottish location played host to Mike, Darren and Aaron Champion - who took the helm for two separate shoots for The Crown S6. Working in some very challenging weather the team recieved praise indeed, for pulling off a time sensitive shot, with restricted location space, encompassing ice and snow whilst operating from the back of a Bickers support vehicle! It all came together beautifully in the end and we are so proud of their efforts!
